Statement Sleeve Top for Under $20!

Hi all and Happy Tuesday!

Statement Sleeve Striped Top // Similar Black Jeans // Black Heels // Baublebar Necklace

Just when we thought we were all obsessed with bell sleeves....  they bring us layered bell sleeves!  When I first put this top on I was basically convinced that I actually might never take it off.   I've started to see sleeves like this pop up here and there, and I definitely anticipate that this trend is going to continue to grow!  This top in particular is great because it lets the sleeves shine, while keeping a more simple feel elsewhere.  As a striped t-shirt, It is able to be paired with so many different options, but the sleeves add enough of a BOOM that you don't need much for an outfit to pop.

Since I did want the sleeves to be doing the talking in this look, I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple - pairing this top with one of my favorite pairs of black jeans + black heels.   Although, I think this top could also be incredible cute paired with a skirt + boot combo! I may have to try that one soon because this top is definitely not going to be hiding away in my closet anytime soon.

What do you all think?  Are you a fan of these new layered bell sleeve tops that are popping up or do you prefer a regular bell sleeve?

Hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday!

Styling a Cozy Slouchy

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!

Rust Slouchy Tunic // Black and White Flannel // Black Leather Skirt // Black OTK Boots // Similar Bag

When the weather starts to get a bit of a chill, the first thing I do is reach for a cozy top!  Big, cozy sweaters are always a go-to, but as of late I have also had a new comfy go-to: my slouchies!

If you want to go full on comfy, then pairing the slouchy tunic with leggings, riding boots, and an oversized scarf is an easy and effortlessly cute look!  This is one of my favorite looks to throw on when I need to run errands, or need to put together a casual outfit super quick.  This slouchy has also been one of my favorite items to wear just for lounging around my apartment!

I also love to mix it up a little bit and pair a cozy item like the slouchy with an edgier or dressier piece to add some contrast.   As I have been on a leather addiction lately (leather leggings and leather skirts on serious repeat), I decided to pair the slouchy with my favorite black leather skirt!  To help complete the look, I pulled out a pair of black over-the-knee boots.  I kept jewelry to a minimum because I wanted the the punch to come from the bottom half (leather skirt + boots) and I wanted to keep the more casual vibe on the top half of the look.

Regardless of how you style it, I definitely remember checking out these slouchies!  You'll absolutely wear this item on repeat AND you can get them for only $24 as long as you use a link from this post!

Hope you all liked this slouchy as much as I do, and have a great rest of your Wednesday!

Holiday Party Looks: Friend's Party Edition

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

Since Starbucks has officially released their holiday cups, it is a sign to the rest of us that it time to start seriously thinking about the holiday season!  To help you all be as prepped as possible, I'm going to have a few series of holiday posts going on.  The first is a three part series on holiday party looks, the first of which is today's post!  Today's installment focuses on looks for a friend's holiday party, and the next two will be Company Holiday Party Looks and then Tacky Sweater Party Looks!   The second series of holiday posts will be holiday gift guides!  The first of those will be up later this week!

Now onto the holiday party looks....

Blue Velvet Top (ONLY $11!)// Black High Waist Jeans (Only $80!) // Black Heels // Earrings // Lip Color

Red Velvet Dress (Less than $15!!) // Black Coat (On sale for UNDER $40!!) // Black Velvet Block Heels // Similar Bag // Earrings // Lip Color

Sequin Blazer (Only $30!!) // Black Tank Top // Black Leggings (Under $30!)// Black Heels // Similar Bag // Earrings

I am absolutely in love with all three of these looks, and I am seriously going to have to find some additional party invites so that I am able to wear all of them!

If the party you are attending leans more towards the casual side, then the first look is perfect for you!  However, if your event isn't completely casual and have fallen in love with these blue top like I have (velvet, bell sleeves, and off the shoulder?? Helloooo there!), you can absolutely dress this top up with a high waisted skirt and heels!  I also kept my jewelry very minimal in these looks to let the clothing pieces stand out, but you could add in some sparkly jewels to dress this top up as well!

The second look works best for a dressier event.  I am completely in love with this velvet red dress!  I've been a little slow to adopt the whole velvet trend, as I've had mixed feelings about it; however, I definitely think the holiday season is the perfect time to bust out some velvet! Plus, the color of this dress is absolutely perfect for the holidays!

If you guys know me, then you know I absolutely LOVE sequins.  However, I generally limit them to the holiday season. Basically when mid-November hits, I begin thinking bring on the sequins!  So it should come as no surprise that I absolutely adore this this sequin blazer!  I paired this blazer with another go-to look of mine (all black), so that it would really be able to pop!

Which of these three holiday party looks is your favorite?  Don't forget that in the coming weeks I will also be sharing my favorite holiday party looks for a company part and for a tacky sweater party!

Have a great Monday!
