Holiday Party Looks: Friend's Party Edition
Hi everyone and happy Monday!
Since Starbucks has officially released their holiday cups, it is a sign to the rest of us that it time to start seriously thinking about the holiday season! To help you all be as prepped as possible, I'm going to have a few series of holiday posts going on. The first is a three part series on holiday party looks, the first of which is today's post! Today's installment focuses on looks for a friend's holiday party, and the next two will be Company Holiday Party Looks and then Tacky Sweater Party Looks! The second series of holiday posts will be holiday gift guides! The first of those will be up later this week!
Now onto the holiday party looks....
I am absolutely in love with all three of these looks, and I am seriously going to have to find some additional party invites so that I am able to wear all of them!
If the party you are attending leans more towards the casual side, then the first look is perfect for you! However, if your event isn't completely casual and have fallen in love with these blue top like I have (velvet, bell sleeves, and off the shoulder?? Helloooo there!), you can absolutely dress this top up with a high waisted skirt and heels! I also kept my jewelry very minimal in these looks to let the clothing pieces stand out, but you could add in some sparkly jewels to dress this top up as well!
The second look works best for a dressier event. I am completely in love with this velvet red dress! I've been a little slow to adopt the whole velvet trend, as I've had mixed feelings about it; however, I definitely think the holiday season is the perfect time to bust out some velvet! Plus, the color of this dress is absolutely perfect for the holidays!
If you guys know me, then you know I absolutely LOVE sequins. However, I generally limit them to the holiday season. Basically when mid-November hits, I begin thinking bring on the sequins! So it should come as no surprise that I absolutely adore this this sequin blazer! I paired this blazer with another go-to look of mine (all black), so that it would really be able to pop!
Which of these three holiday party looks is your favorite? Don't forget that in the coming weeks I will also be sharing my favorite holiday party looks for a company part and for a tacky sweater party!
Have a great Monday!
